Barbro Nilsson

Closely associated with the atelier founded by Märta Måås-Fjetterström, she became its artistic director in 1942 and continued to develop its distinctive vision. Known for her refined sense of color, technical precision, and deep respect for traditional weaving techniques, Barbro Nilsson both preserved and renewed the atelier’s artistic legacy. Through her leadership and original designs, she strengthened its international reputation and ensured the continued evolution of Swedish textile art.
